Mariemont’s Newest Rising Star on the Links: Will Grimmer, age 16
Will Grimmer, who plays out of Makatewah Country Club and is a member of the Warriors Golf Team, is gaining national recognition with his stellar performances in multiple tournaments this summer. In coming in fourth in the North & South Junior Amateur event at Pinehurst in early July, he shot a record-tying round of 59. Later in July, this was followed by a win at the American Junior Golf Association Memorial Junior tournaments at the Scarlet Course at Ohio State University by shooting 10 strokes under par for the tournament. This exciting talent is certain to garner more headlines in the years to come.
