The mission of the Foundation is “to stimulate artistic creativity and to provide quality educational and cultural experiences to the residents of Greater Cincinnati and the surrounding communities”. To fulfill this mission we offer a variety of art classes for adults and children; studio space for local artists; a state-of-the-art gallery featuring exhibits by regional artists; summer art camp for children; and sponsorship of a lecture series at the Taft Museum of Art. Visit the website www.artatthebarn.org for information on classes and events at the Barn. Yearly Foundation events include an Arts Sampler open house in early spring; an English Tea in April; Barnyard sale in the summer; “Evening at the Barn” fundraiser in the fall; and a holiday bazaar “Showcase of Arts” in November.
Throughout the year, the Foundation sponsors family-friendly cultural performances & programs at the Barn by local arts organizations including the Cincinnati Ballet, the Cincinnati Opera, theTaft Museum of Art, Ensemble Theater, and Playhouse in the Park. To register online for these programs, visit www.artatthebarn.org.
Did you know that local nonprofit organizations can rent meeting space (the Gallery, Tack Room, or Lindner Classroom) at the Barn for only $25? The Barn can also be rented as a venue for your special event, whether it’s a reunion, wedding rehearsal dinner or reception, or graduation party.
The Barn is also home to the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati. Founded in 1892, this organization is open to all women artists in the Cincinnati region and is solely membership supported. The club meets monthly Sept – May, bringing in speakers and demonstrating artists as well as touring local art institutions. Membership information is available Here.
