Art of Monoprinting – July 7 – 11, 2 – 4 PM

Through the use of printmaking ink and a small etching press, exciting prints can be created by artists of all levels. Bring colorful photographs or images to class as your inspiration. You will place a plexiglass plate on the image and “paint” right over it with etching ink. The plate and 100% rag paper will then be run through the press. This terrific medium can add a lot of color and freedom to your work.

Improv Workshop – July 14 – 18, 2pm – 4pm

Improvisation is the art of spontaneous story telling. Based on children’s games, the exercises that made Second City alumni Steve Carrel, Tina Fey and Steven Colbert famous are the same ones we will use to discover the joy of active listening, agreement and building something from nothing.
