The second year for the Mariemont Farmer’s Market began in June and ended last Wednesday, September 24th. As a new venture for Mariemont, the Editors of Mariemont.com welcome any and all comments on this blog to evaluate the Market’s success and hopefully be of value to Leah Geldbaugh, the coordinator, in her plans for next year. Any individual that wishes to comment without revealing their identity can use a made-up name, and their email address will remain hidden.
You might answer question such as:
- Was the Wednesday time slot convenient?
- Was there enough variety?
- What feedback did you get from the vendors?
- What feedback do you have for the vendors?
Good things were the Wed. Time slot, and the increased number of vendors….
Negatives were that often many vendors would not show up, even when weather was fine. This no doubt impacted attendance. No shady place to sit. Next year would like to have Blue Oven bakery, coffee, more organic produce….
I only just moved here, but would love to see the FM expanded (naturally) – everything I bought there was great & I look forward to more. Is there not a location with shade that could be found? Concourse?
I think if we moved it to the grassy area on Wooster by Starbucks, Dilly etc we would see way more participation. Right now location is buried and most people driving through Mariemont don’t stop.
