The Garden Club

“Established in 1941, we are proud to be the oldest continuously active organization in Mariemont.  Our purpose is to stimulate a knowledge and love of gardening, aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds, and encourage civic planting.
“We usually meet at the Barn at 1 pm the first Wednesday of the month, but occasionally go on a field trip or have an evening meeting.  We do not meet in January or February, July or August.  All meetings are open and guests are more than welcome.  We have 39 members at present, and not all are residents of Mariemont.
“Our only fundraiser is the annual plant sale held at the Strand the Saturday before Mother’s Day.  Proceeds are used for plants or trees in village public areas.
“If you would like more information call Judy Kagrise (“Kagg-rice”), membership chairman, at 561-6141 or email rkagrise@aol.com.
